During the launching ceremony, Mrs. Cherie Blaire wife of former British prime minister talked about the work her organization the (Cherie Blaire foundation) does with women across the world to help grow their businesses and positively change their lives, communities and nations. Her foundation has connected 80 business entrepreneurs with manufacturers and others that can help them to grow and expand their businesses. My foundation will continue to press even harder for gender equality to be mainstreamed through each and every goal in the millennium development goals says Mrs. Blaire. She commended President Ernest Bai Koroma for declaring the International women’s day a Publc holiday in Sierra Leone which she says show that women’s issues is at the heart of the government’s agenda
